Unpaid care and domestic work (UCDW) or care work makes productive work possible. Majority of it is done by the women in the household, making them unable to actively participate in productive work. It involves the following:
1) household chores
2) caring for family members, children, and the elderly
3) participating in community care services like daycare
Through the Building Constituency of the Recognition and Valuing of Women’s Work for the Care Economy Project (BRAVE), PKKK advocates for the implementation of policies on UCDW legislation.
