Project Details:
The project seeks to address women’s rights protection and resilience in disasters and conflict situations by promoting community based women-led disaster and conflict preparedness and response. Through developing women’s capacity on disaster risk reduction and management and gender-responsive emergency response, and increasing women’s rights awareness and protection in emergencies across the Women in Emergency Network (WENet) in the Philippines, it intends to advance women’s participation in decision-making in relation to disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation (CCA), and peace and security while systematically addressing underlying women’s rights violations.
